COOKBOOK BOM SHOW THEIR BLOCKS



The Quilt Block Cookbook BOM group met Wednesday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Above the ladies show the block they made for this month.
Above is the sample I made of the block we will be making this month.  It is recipe #2, Cherry On Top, page 24 in the Quilt Block Cookbook.  Kits were distributed and you will see that this is a relatively easy block.  The one thing I did caution people on was cutting the striped fabric.  Make sure your stripes are all going the same way as you cut each piece.

NEWS!  I'm sure you all have heard of Christmas In July.  Well, the Attic Window Quilt Shop is going to be different.  The shop is having Halloween In July!  How different is that!  You won't say Boo to this....Stop in anytime during the month of July and receive a free Halloween pattern for a table topper!  While there, be sure to check out the specials on Halloween fabrics, patterns, etc. 

ALSO:  On Friday and Saturday, July 7 & 8, the shop is having it's once a year Batik SALE!!!!  Chris has been busy cleaning out fabrics and there with be 20-40% off on Batiks only.

QUILT SHOWS:
  • The Lighthouse Quilt Guild's Quilt Show runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 901 Columbus Ave, Grand Haven, MI. Admission is $6.
  • The 2017 Annual Quilted Memories Quilt Show will be held July 28-30.  Hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Sunday 12 p.m. through 4 p.m. Admission is FREE.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:
  • I don't know about you, but I love it when I find another way to use a ruler that I have purchased and used once.  A Bright Corner has a tutorial for using the Tri-Recs rulers to make the pinwheel block!
