HAPPY SCRAPPERS MEET AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

The Happy Scrappers met this past Saturday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  We had some fun and some show-n-tell.  Above, Vickie S. shows us this adorable wall hanging that she made.  She said she didn't know if she was going to have a class on how to make it, or if it will just be made up in kits.  I would love to have the kit!
Janalee was busy putting the binding on this gorgeous quilt.  The quilt was made from a paper pieced pattern that she started a while ago when Buffie first formed the group.  Janalee said she is making this quilt for her grand nephew.   I love the colors she used.
Lee Anne was busy working on her Popsicle Sticks quilt.  Can't wait to see it finished.
Joyce shows a block for the Hunter's Star quilt she is making.  Love those fabrics.
Nancy holds up a block for the quilt she is working on.  The pattern is from the 2014 Summer issue of Quiltmaker Classics magazine.
Diana worked on her applique block.  The pattern is from the book Beautiful Botanicals by Deborah Kemball.
As you can see, she got a lot done on this block.  It is stunning!
Above is the block that I made.  As I was gathering things to take to the shop to work on that day, I happened to remember that Lynn at Alamosa Quilter had a post about making this scrappy block.  I grabbed a bunch of scraps and after finishing another project, I decided to play a little.  I did buy the black and white fabrics at the shop, but the rest is from my scrap pile.  Check out Lynn's post where there is a link to the tutorial.

I love how everyone works on different things. So much fun to see things in progress, then see it finished later.
