HAVE YOU MADE THIS BAG?

Marilyn taught the first Make It Take It class of 2015 at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  I look forward to participating in these sessions, as the projects are quick and easy and you come away with a finished project.  I'll tell you tomorrow about the February class. Today I want to show you our finished projects.  Above, Marilyn shows us how to make the ruffle on this cute little bag.  The pattern is from This & That and is called Fun & Flirty.
This is a close-up of how we are to gather the center strip.
Betty finished her bag in no time and almost got out the door before I could get a picture.  She graciously pulled out her bag and showed it to us.  I love her fabrics.  In fact you will be amazed at how different all these bags look in different fabrics.
Cathy shows us her bag in orange fabrics.
Diana shows us her bag.  You probably can't see it, but her fabric has elephants on it.  Darling.
Nancy's bag in black and whites.  You can't tell it from this angle, but one of the fabrics had touches of red in it.
Donna and her cute little bag.  She finished her bag in no time and even started on another one.  The pattern includes two different sizes.
Deb finished her bag in these lovely blue fabrics.
Lee Anne used the new line of Flirt fabrics by Windham Hill.  So cute!
Tammy shows us her bag.  The photo doesn't do it justice.  The colors in these fabrics are so vivid!
Above, Yvonne works on her bag.
Here, she shows us her finished bag.
I had to show you this close up of Yvonne's bag.  Note the little zipper tie.  She used a strip from the left over zipper to make this cute little zipper pull.
And this is my bag.  I love making this bag.  Marilyn is a fantastic teacher and I cannot tell you how many times she caught me at the right moment to remind me that I should be doing this or that.  I would recommend taking Marilyn's classes.  In fact, she has a cute little coin purse class coming up this month.  I'll show you pictures and give you the details tomorrow.

There was a Stitch-In this weekend at the shop.  I had to snap this picture of  Jill (left) and Cheryl (right), before I left.  No one gets by without a picture!

DON’T FORGET
  • It is now February, a new month.  Take a look at the calendar or the newsletter on the sidebar to learn about upcoming events.
  • Heart of Winter Tour on February 7th.   The bus will take you to four different shops.  Lunch and dinner are included. It's not too late to get a spot on the bus!
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
