MODERN MONDAY

It’s Modern Monday Quilt Along time and this is my block for today.  This is block #51 and is called Posy.  I like it, but I doubt I’ll use it in my quilt as I’m making this quilt for my 16-year-old grandson and he’s asked for NO flowers.  I’ll use this and some other blocks in a table topper or something else.  Now go over and take a look at Lynn’s block.  I know she has it completed as she had a nice freezer paper appliqué tutorial last week.  Scroll down a couple posts and check it out.  Then go see what Jennifer has for us this week.

Attention:   Our own Barb David who introduced us to Twilling, has published another book.  Book Two is now available.  It contains 12 full size patterns and instructions for the twilling stitch.  You can read about and order it by going here.

Don’t forget:
The West Michigan Quilters’ Guild, “Quilts on the Grand” show is October 5-7 at the DeltaPlex Arena.  Mark your calendar now!

On another note:   I Heart Linen has several nice tutorials that were posted during the Zakka Style Sew Along.  I like week 10, the zip organizer by Spotted Stone.  Check it out.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!

Oh now that is way too cute - I'd love a whole quilt done of blocks like that in different colors!

Yours turned out darling! Too bad he doesn't want it in his quilt but I understand how young men can be about flowers.

It is darling. I agree with Lynn....too bad you won't be able to use it, but I understand why. I'm trying to think of how/if you could alter it to work for a guy's quilt....

Say, I never got back to you about the class in November. I probably can't do a Friday....I have a standing meeting from 12-2 for supervision. If people are up for a Saturday, that would be fun!
