MODERN MONDAY BLOCK QUILT ALONG

It’s another year and another Monday.  It’s Modern Monday Block time!  This is the block for this week.  Easy peasy!  I love it.  Check out what Lynn’s block looks like then go to see what Jenifer has in store for us this week.
I  hope everyone had a wonderful time seeing in the New Year.  I celebrated by going to the Attic Window Quilt Shop New Year’s Day Sale!  What a sale it was!  I came home with yards of good quality quilting fabric for $2 a yard.
Some of that fabric will be used for backings and some for Charity quilts, and some for my scrappy quilts.  And, of course, it is always good to have extra fabric on hand for that one small piece of applique.  I love it when Chris has a sale.  That means she is making room for more fabric!  What a way to start the New Year!

SNOWDAYS:  If you didn’t get to take advantage of this sale, be sure and stop in at the shop during the month of January and take advantage of Snowdays.  There will be specials all month long as well as a free snowman pattern and snowflakes.  There is also a scissor sharpening special this month.  Bring in two pair of scissors to be sharpened and get the second pair at half price.

Most of us like to get the New Year started with organization.  We get new calendars and set new goals.   You might want to take a look at this 2012 Quilting Calendar that you can download to your computer.  Check it out here.

Cute block, love the dots! Wish I could have made it for the sale, wow. Two dollars a yard! Do you have snow over there? We've had NOTHING!
